Synopsis:

Prequel to Rurouni Kenshin, the TV series, and a director's cut/compilation of the Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal OVA Mini-Series. The movie follows Kenshin from the time he was a young boy named Shinta and saved from Bandits by a swordsman known as Hiko Seijuro; a master of the Hiten Mitsurugi. After years of training, he joins the revolution against the Tokugawa shogunate as an Assassin earning him the name Hitokiri Battousai His various campaigns reveal how he received the name Battousai, as well as the origins of his Cross-shaped scar, and why he eventually carries the reverse blade Sakabato through the Meiji Restoration.
