Cartel de cine is Spanish...

French is probably something like Affiche de cine

Well, Spanish really could be a lot more complicated lol

Poster= póster/s, cartel/es, afiche/s (last one the least used for people in the street) [http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartel]

And we could mix it with "de cine"(generic) or "de película/s"(specific). You would find more results in google using película. And you would find more using cartel than póster and póster more than afiche.

So in google results, from more to less...
"cartel de película"
"poster de película"
"afiche de película"
"cartel de cine"
"poster de cine"
"afiche de cine"

In Icelandic we usually just refer to them as plakat (poster) but if we have to define them as movie poster I'd say it's kvikmyndaplakat.
