My idea is putting them with a link to the best version we have of that poster, or nearest to it. A link to the tccandler list, click on his logo:

#1-#5

#6-#10

#11-#15

#16-#20

#21-#25

#26-#30

#31-#35

#36-#40

#41-#45

#46-#50

#51-#55

#56-#60

#61-#65

#66-#70

#71-#75

#76-#80

#81-#85

#86-#90

#91-#95

#96-#99

#100 (Komond's selection) TCCandler didn't put a #100 so I suggest one:

When ended, you will have the 100 best posters in the best quality on the internet (or, at least, that's what TCCandler thinks smile:.

Posters that has less than 1000 pixels in lower dimension (so it could be nice if you find one better (when *, see notes, I'll show you an alternative): #4, #12, #16, #19, #24*, #27*, #29*, #30*, #32*, #34*, #35*, #42, #49, #52, #56, #62, #71*, #73, #77, #79*, #81, #85*, #86*, #87*, #97, #98...

Notes:
#3 Pulp fiction. I prefer poster, but TCCandler list has dvd cover so changes typography:
Pulp Fiction TCCandler Title Typography
#24 Titanic. I put a different title typography, ours with it is so low quality:
Titanic TCCandler List Title Typography
#27 The End of the Affair. We have a custom I made similar to original in HQ. It's not 100% the same, but it's close:
Custom 'remake' of The End of the Affair
#29 King Kong. If you want higher quality, but it has different colours and slightly different design:
Slight different King Kong in higher quality
#30 Breakfast at Tiffany's. If you want higher quality, but has different colours and slightly different design:
Slight different Breakfast at Tiffany's in higher quality
#32 Angel-A. The original French version is not so good quality. Italian is nearly the same and is a good HQ:
Italian HQ for Angel-A
#34 Sullivan's Travel. I prefer poster, but TCCandler list has dvd cover. We have it too and it's HQ:
Sullivan's Travel TCCandler DVD cover HQ
#35 Papillon. I prefer poster, but TCCandler list has dvd cover. We have it...but anyway, quality is so low, but has less text:
Papillon TCCandler DVD cover low quality
#41 Barry Lyndon. I put the 1 sheet, high resolution but it's worn out and it has the 4 Oscars text (don't think it's a big deal). We have a HQ 3 Sheet that is not worn out:
Barry Lyndon HQ 3 Sheet
#46 Attack of the 50 Foot Woman. I put the dark coloured one, high resolution enought, but we have an even better resolution one brighter and more yellowish:
Brighter Attack of the 50 Foot Woman poster
#51 The Graduate. We have a custom made by Jayef similar to TCCandler's in HQ. It's not 100% the same, as it's made from real original UK Quad:
Original UK Quad of The Graduate
#63 Lolita This is just personal taste, but I prefer this French version we have too in HQ:
French hand-drawn HQ poster
#71 Artificial Intelligence: A.I. There's a better resolution version, but as it looks as a photo of a poster and is slightly different, I prefer putting it here in notes:
Better resolution version, but photo, of Artificial Inteliggence: A.I.
#74 Lawrence of Arabia There's a better quality version, but has only title on it:
Better quality version, only title, of Lawrence of Arabia
#78 Captivity The best version of this poster is the Turkish one, instead of the Spanish one that is the TCCandler's:
Turkish HQ version of Captivity
#79 Requiem for a Dream The best version of this poster we have is the Spanish one, not even 1000px but better:
Spanish better version of Requiem for a Dream
#81 The Exorcist It's not exactly the same version, as it doesn't only have the title on it. But is the closest in typography and picture type.
#82 M.A.S.H. The one I put is good enought, but window card is better, so if you're interested:
Window card better version of M.A.S.H.
#85 Premonition Ok, USA one is not good quality... but German is better:
German better version of Premonition
#86 Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind USA one is not good quality, German is a bit better:
German better version of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
#87 Adaptation We have a better version without the credits:
Better version withouth credits of Adaptation
#95 The Rocketeer UK Quad is more beautiful, but we don't have it so good quality, here I suggest a One-Sheet version:
USA One Sheet of The Rocketter

How about something similar for the AFI Top 100 American Movie Posters? IMHO, the TC Candler list is too skewed to modern posters -- e.g., more than half of the Top 20 came out in the 1990s and 2000s -- which is balanced out by the AFI list which has none after 1982 (E.T. and Tootsie). Also, the TC Candler list throws in a handful of international posters, but omits some obvious ones like La belle et la bĂȘte, La grande illusion, and Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari. At least the AFI list has the sense to stick to just American posters.

Um, yeah, I did realise about they were too new in some cases. And the problem with AFI is that has none And that they are only American (there should be a list only of Poland posters of foreign movies!). But sure, I may do that list when this one is ended.
And about posters lost, there are always obvious ones lost in every poster list, I mean, every movie list has obvious films out, so with posters it may be 10 times easier (as nearly every movie has at least, 10 posters more or less).

But maybe, when this list is ended, if I'm not so tired, I could do that one

Well, right now the page of TCCandler seems to be out, so we will have to wait some time, hope it to be soon.

Edit: It works now. But now the page that is out is imdb

Well, nice posters. Many of them I have not ever seen before. Quite beautiful. Thanks a lot!

Well, hope you all like it, I finally ended the list. It took a while

Hope you enjoy it and hope it to be useful. And remember, some of them are not so good quality, so if you find a better one and help everyone to have it, we would be happy to receive it

If some link it's broken (we are always uploading and deleting posters, so it wouldn't be weird) feel free to message me and I will fix it

Great work Komond :-)
In the new version there's gonna be a nice feature for these sort of lists. But I'll make sure this forum post is used and you don't have to do it all over again

Ok, that's nice, it take some time By the way, those list would use groups or posters? I know sometimes groups are enough, but some others groups have so many posters inside that yeah, they form a logic group but have too enough differences for someone could want to choose exactly one that it's not the main one, or want to show an specific language that's not the main one. It could be nice to be able to have both possibilities, groups or individual posters.

An excellent choice for #100! Imho, Jules et Jim might be just as good a choice for a classic Truffaut/Moreau poster -- I love its pastiche of photo for Moreau's face, thick line art for the clothing and background, and gouache for the colors, plus the bold choice of color palette -- but either one sits well with me.

Well, that was already on the list so I wouldn't have put it again #96, I tell it as I guess you are suggesting it for #100

Yeah I'm not sure about this either...I think posters are better than groups in this case.

Boy am I a doofus, suggesting the same poster for #96 and #100! My other complaint with Candler's list (other than the ones I already wrote about on 2008-06-05) is that he has zero Asian representation. So, my new suggestion for #100 is Ai No Corrida. It simultaneously captures the ferociousness of the love affair, its sensuality, and its ill-fatedness.

Yeah, that's truth... it even has Spanish representation, which is rare I suposse, but really I don't know how much old Spanish movies are watched around the world.

Another Japanese suggestion:

This is a french poster, there's a korean one too at least, but it's like cut and that make it worse.

I suposse there must be an original Japanese too, but it's not here.
