Hi to all!

I have noticed that there is some mixup in the poster section regarding these two movies, some posters that belong to the first one are in the second one, and viceversa.

"Gojira" (1954) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047034/ and "Godzilla, King of the Monsters!" (1956) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0197521/ are 2 DIFFERENT movies. The first one was made in Japan by Ishiro Honda with only japanese actors, the second one was also directed by Ishiro Honda but with american and japanese actors, among them is RAYMOND BURR. Any poster that depicts american-looking actors and bills Raymond Burr on the cast is related to the 1956 american movie, EVEN IF they are written in japanese!.

I have researched a lot through this, wikipedia, wikizilla and imdb are among my main sources of information, so you can verify this too if you like. In general, some TOHO movies were remade for west markets in various ocassions, it's a complete remake. Something like what happened with The Ring, The Grudge or [rec] in more recent times, but we're talking about the 50's and 60's here.

I want to offer my help to solve this confusion, I thought about flagging all the posters that belong to the wrong movie, but realized that some of the flagged posters may be ignored because perhaps the general confusion causing this mixup couldn't be clarified enough.

Please let me know if I can do anything to help.

You're right. There were plenty of posters in the wrong place. And many repeated at both sites. I hope they are now well.
Thanks for reporting.
