Léo Kouper
Léo Kouper is a French illustrator and poster artist, born in Paris on August 20 1926. He was a student of the famous poster artist Herve Morvan. After he made a poster for Modern Times in '54, Charlie Chaplin asked him to redraw the posters for The Gold Rush, The Great Dictator, City Lights, and The Kid, when they were rereleased in 1972. Kouper's poster for the movie Emmanuelle earned him the prize for best poster at the '74 Cannes Festival.
